The Long Walk
New Green Onion Flowers
More Dietes
Good Day Sunshine
These are growing in the little patch right below my dryer vent – in soil that is hard as a rock, parched all the time, and in which almost nothing will grow. Three cheers for tenacious wildflowers!
Eye of the Ranunculus
I wish I had a bit more depth of field on this shot. I think I’ll reshoot it, if the wind dies down a bit.
Golden Globes
Some broccoli rabe reseeded itself on the sly among my snap peas. We didn’t see it until it bolted and the flower stalk peeped out above the pea vines.
Dietes
These ‘irises” are native to this area. They thrive on utter neglect right below my office window.
Wet Slate and Jasmine
Another variation from an impromptu shoot on my patio back in February.
Death Grip
I came across these two guys on a leaf on the blackberry vines – both dead, and locked together at the head. The bee is less than 1/2″ long, just to give you a sense of scale.
