Right angles are hard to come by in New Orleans.
Printing, Letterheads, Cards
Jury duty has ended, and there was much rejoicing. Or at least there will be, once I catch up a little and overcome this exhaustion. Thank goodness it’s the weekend! Oh, this was taken in New Orleans, in the French Quarter.
Steel Grey and Ochre
New Orleans, Louisiana I’ve got ochre on the brain, because I’ve been reading the fascinating book Color: A Natural Histroy of the Palette by Victoria Finlay. The first section was all about ochre, particularly as used by Aboriginal people in Australia. Curiously, jury duty has the pleasant unexpected side effect of giving me lots of time to read in the breaks.
Burnt Sugar Souffle
At the Cafe Degas in New Orleans. Dan, Donna, Scott and I took a break from shooting in the cemetery, and had a lovely and refreshing lunch on their enclosed porch. This dessert might have actually been called Bread Pudding, but it’s texture was more like a souffle.
