It’s getting hard to come up with original titles for the rose pictures! This was also taken in the Berkeley Rose Garden.

Pink Spottty Rose Frills
Hey, that title could be a band name! From the Berkeley Rose Garden a couple of months ago, on a Sunday morning after a yummy breakfast at Tacubaya. This was the first expedition Dan and I took as part of a plan to get out at least once a week to shoot. His knee problems flared up again, and nixed that grand plan for a while. We’ll have to pick that up again after the holidays…
White Poppy
For some reason, TypePad wouldn’t let me upload this last night. Oh, well. This was taken at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden.
Star Magnolia Version 1
This is a star magnolia from the Mendocino Botanical Gardens, taken on the same trip as the photo from Glass Beach. Like dogwoods, magnolias are a favorite subject for me.
Cross-processed Tulips #2
Another from the set of cross-processed tulips.
Pnk and White Rose
Pale Yellow Old-Fashioned Rose
Stone Urn with Yellow Flowers
Another shot from the gardens at Harkness State Park. There will be still more to come, especially once I get to scanning my negatives.
Salmon Flower
I’m not sure exactly what kind of flower this is. It was growing in the Native Plants section of the U.C. Berkeley Botanical Garden.
Shooting Stars
Shooting Stars (the pink flowers here) are also native wildflowers in the East Bay, though they are somewhat uncommon. They are also very tiny, with the flowers maybe an inch long from top to bottom. I’m not sure what the yellow blossom is, but it adds a kind of otherworldly quality to this image.
