Pink Spottty Rose Frills

Hey, that title could be a band name! From the Berkeley Rose Garden a couple of months ago, on a Sunday morning after a yummy breakfast at Tacubaya. This was the first expedition Dan and I took as part of a plan to get out at least once a week to shoot. His knee problems flared up again, and nixed that grand plan for a while. We’ll have to pick that up again after the holidays…

Shooting Stars

Shooting Stars (the pink flowers here) are also native wildflowers in the East Bay, though they are somewhat uncommon. They are also very tiny, with the flowers maybe an inch long from top to bottom. I’m not sure what the yellow blossom is, but it adds a kind of otherworldly quality to this image.
