More Alyssum
One more of the alyssum. I’ve loved these little flowers since I was a kid, and keep them in my side yard for the lovely scent the white ones have.
Trio
Another variation on the purple ranunculus from the other day. Donna, which one do you like better?
Ruff
An anemone in my side yard, just about to open.
Purple Alyssum
Macro lens: one of the best purchases I’ve ever made, even 10 years later. Each of these flowers are smaller than a pencil eraser.
Kale Droplets
From my vegetable garden… A flawed image, but it appeals to me for some reason.
String of Beads
Water droplets on one of the garlic plants in the raised bed.
Purple Ranunculus
From my side yard. Santa Barbara, CA
New Crop
We have a 15′ Valencia orange tree in our backyard. The oranges stay on the tree for between 18 months and two years before they are fully ripe and at their sweetest. About this time last year, we lost almost the whole crop to several nights of hard frost. We have no oranges that are ripe now, but from the looks of it we will be drowning in fresh juice next winter.
