Golden Globes
Some broccoli rabe reseeded itself on the sly among my snap peas. We didn’t see it until it bolted and the flower stalk peeped out above the pea vines.
Dietes
These ‘irises” are native to this area. They thrive on utter neglect right below my office window.

Death Grip
I came across these two guys on a leaf on the blackberry vines – both dead, and locked together at the head. The bee is less than 1/2″ long, just to give you a sense of scale.
