Boys Room
At the train station in Toledo.
Lisbon Wall Collage, Redux
And one more. I’ll lay off these for a while after this.
Lisbon Wall Collage, Take 2
Another wall collage, also taken in the Bairro Alto.
Lisbon Wall Collage
Taken in the Bairro Alto in Lisbon. Since I’m so drawn to textures, scenes like this always catch my eye. I love the peeling layers, built up over time.
Furled Dogwood
Hazy Dogwood
This is a dogwood, though this angle doesn’t show the characteristic petal shape. From the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens a few years ago.
Sailboat Deck in Rockport
After solving a problem with my scanner, I got back to working through my black and white archives this weekend. In between coughing fits, that is; I still have the cold that started more than a week ago. It’s getting a bit tedious.
Interior of the Mezquita
These are the famous red-and-white arches inside the Mezquita in Cordoba. They go on and on, row upon row. This building is so massive, it’s a bit hard to grasp it when you’re inside. To give you some idea, when the Catholics gained control, they built a cathedral in the center of the Mezquita. You have to walk for a while once you’re inside to get to the cathedral.
Ornate Wall
One of the exterior walls of the Mezquita in Cordoba. I can hardly stand the lusciousness of the texture and pattern on this wall.
