Gobble
One of the barnyard animals at That Dutchman’s Farm, where we stopped to get some delicious Dragon’s Breath and aged Gouda cheeses.
Fragments of the Berlin Wall
We stopped in Truro, Nova Scotia, to eat at a famous fish & chip shop. We were rather surprised to see these chunks of the Berlin Wall right across the street from where we parked.
Bud and Tendrils
Dan and I were walking along the waterfront in Charlottetown on PEI, and came across a patch of weeds. As is my wont, I found them fascinating. We spent quite a while squatting, kneeling and almost lying down on the path with our macro lenses, much to the amusement of passersby. This is why we belong together.
Lupine
We saw lots of lupines in bloom on PEI.
Stalk and Spider
From our drive along the Bay of Fundy on the way to PEI. I feel like I should know what this flower is, but I don’t.
Has the Rain Stopped Yet?
On our first full day in Chiang Mai, we got caught in a raging downpour on our way back to the house. It was kind of fun, actually. We we drenched after dashing less than a block to the house. When we got there, we saw this (good-sized) toad on the porch. He seemed to be waiting for the rain to stop so he could go on about his business.
Dragons on the Roofline
We’re back from 2-1/2 weeks in Thailand, spent mainly in Chiang Mai visiting friends, eating delicious food, and seeing all manner of amazing things. I’m still jetlagged and not really sleeping properly, and have the predictable post-flight ick. But, I’m excited to have a new set of photos to work on, and to get into the swing of a new workflow with Lightroom. This is one of the first photos I took, near the Warorot Market. The market is located in a place where the Yunnanese traders used to stop, centuries ago.
